This is something very timely that I needed to hear as I sit here at work, listening to a webinar, checking email, and reading your lovely writing. We pride ourselves in the ability to multitask but so often I don't even remember doing something or seeing something. Thank you for the reminder to slow down and be present and intentional. Sending you a BIG hug. Love, Mom.

This made me smile SO big. I’m so happy I could invite you to slow down. I cannot wait to do nothing except float in the pool for a whole week!!! Love you :)

I remember constantly being lapped by people walking on the street in the city. lol

My head is always on a swivel, marveling. I think perhaps when we focus on paying attention, bringing our senses into our experience, we inevitably begin to slow down. At first it has to be conscious, then it sort of just becomes what it is -all of our senses move through time and we just move slower. We can't have intention without attention.

Yeesssss I LOVE this reflection. Just yesterday I was walking home and was paying enough attention to hear the leaves dancing in the wind. It was a moment where I was like “ah, yes, I am alive”

Wow. This was confronting in a really beautiful way. I rush through tasks around the house often to feel satisfied with the completion while running my energy very thin. Presence with friends has always been so important to me but presence with each mundane task by myself is so foreign. I’ll be aware of this as I move forward in my week!

It’s easier said than done, sister! I wrote this entire piece and still am not implementing it. Maybe we can do check ins and hold each other accountable??
